1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This policy aims to manage and optimize water use arising from our operations in the context of the sustainability of water resources. Our primary goals include supporting environmental sustainability and increasing operational efficiency by reducing water consumption.
This policy covers Teknosa’s headquarters, logistics center, and all stores. Employees, suppliers, and service providers are also required to comply with the provisions of this policy.
2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All units and employees of Teknosa are responsible for the implementation and support of this Policy and its related procedures. All employees are expected to comply with the defined water-saving measures and contribute to relevant practices.
The Sustainability and Occupational Safety Department is responsible for the periodic update of the policy, while the Risk, Compliance and Business Continuity Department is responsible for monitoring and controlling the processes defined in the policy.
3. POLICY PRINCIPLES
As Teknosa, we adopt the following principles and practices to enhance water efficiency:

Comply with all relevant national and international environmental regulations, obligations, and standards,

Identify and assess water-related risks considering the effects of climate change and develop water risk management strategies,

Analyze water use-related risks in the supply chain and promote water efficiency,

Use water-efficient fixtures and equipment, conduct regular inspections to prevent leaks and waste,

Promote alternative methods such as water recovery and ensure reuse of water,

Regularly measure and monitor water consumption, set efficiency targets, and perform periodic water footprint calculations,

Organize awareness activities for employees about water conservation and encourage behavioral change in water usage,

Ensure employees have access to clean and safe water and establish a healthy work environment,

Establish systems for measurement, monitoring, and reporting to periodically review water efficiency targets set under this policy.
4. REPORTING NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE POLICY
Anyone who becomes aware of or suspects a situation that may violate this policy can report it directly to their manager. If the concern involves the direct manager, it should be reported to the Company Ethics Code Advisor. If no action is taken or no results are achieved, the matter may be escalated to the Sabancı Holding Ethics Committee or reported via the Teknosa Ethics Violation Reporting Line (+90 216 468 36 02) or to the email address:
